inspiration hostel

This project is located in Tokyo, Japan in a construction site next to the famous building 21-21 Design Sight by Tadao Ando. The site was planned to continue the seamless landscape pattern Tadao Ando used in his project next door. When tackling the problem of escaping an urban environment to find inspiration, one may think of an isolated area. Nevertheless, in this proposal, the site is situated in one of the most urban environments in Japan. The goal of this proposal was to create a space that would help artist detach themselves from all the distraction by elevating (detaching) them from all their surroundings. The design uses dirigibles and airships as base studies to "elevate" the artists from a busy location.
